Mudane. (shortened)
By Julia Wood
I truly see why people say that when you fall in love
the sun shines brighter and food tastes better,
but love is not all highs and lows and singing from mountaintops.
Our love is in the mundane.
It's like taking your socks off when your feet are sore,
and heating up the leftovers you've waited all day for.
Our story is not all fire and passion and being struck by a timeless moment,
but laughter and kissing for the first time during a sitcom commercial.
Our love has glimpses of dancing and kissing out in the rain,
but our love is found in friendship
and I'm in love with your mundane.
